What Can Operations Management Tell Us About Improving Education? (1996). There's a lot of similarity between manufacturing factories and educational service factories. Perhaps the solutions are the same too.

Manheim Automobile Cyberauctioning (1996). Short magazine-style article chronicling the development of Web-based wholesale auto auctioning to member dealers by Manheim. The paper was authored as coursework in March, 1996.

Kaledo Corporation. (1994) An Excel spreadsheet is used to exemplify how Kaledo, a fictitious china manufacturing company, converts its business plan into a production plan and, in turn, a master production schedule, verifying capacity at each turn. The spreadsheet was created to fulfill a 1994 MRP/CRP course requirement, weighted at 5% of the total mark.

Excerpts: A Counterstrategy for US Furniture Manufacturers Facing Global Competition (1991). Response to initial forays by foreign competitors into the industry has been weak. Formation of a furniture industry research center to counter global competition is recommended. The paper was submitted in partial fulfillment of Strategy coursework requirement at Duke (Fuqua) in May, 1991; copies were sent to the Furniture Manufacturing Faculty at North Carolina State University for opinion.
